The Crimsafe Warranty

Your security is an important investment for your home. Crimsafe are Australia’s strongest security screens so you can be certain you’re getting the best and your investment, along with your home, is secure. The quality of our products is backed with a standard 10-year warranty, an option to extend to 12 years for the Regular and Classic ranges, and an option to extend to 15 years for the Ultimate and iQ ranges. One more reason why Crimsafe has been the leading security screen provider in Australia for the past 25 years. 

The Crimsafe Warranty warrants the original purchaser of the Crimsafe Security Product that the Crimsafe Security Product purchased will be free from defects in materials supplied by WA Security Doors and Windows under conditions of normal use for a period of 10 years from the date of installation. If your Crimsafe product is found to be defective by WA Security Doors and Windows or their duly appointed representatives, you will receive a repair or replacement.

Accessory products that are fitted to the Crimsafe Security Products, including (without limitation) any locks, handles, rollers, hinges, and door closers may be independently covered by warranties supplied by the relevant manufacturer or supplier of those accessory products.

10-Year Warranty

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and for compensation for any other reasonable foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Crimsafe warrants to the original purchaser of the Crimsafe Security Product that the Crimsafe Security Product purchased will be free from defects in materials supplied by WA Security Doors and Windows under conditions of normal use for the applicable warranty period set out in the details below, commencing from the date of installation.

This warranty is not transferrable and only applies to the original purchaser.

Please note that each component of different Crimsafe Security Systems (including Regular, Classic, Ultimate, iQ-m and iQ-e) may have a different warranty period.

In order to prolong the life of the Crimsafe product and maintain your rights under this warranty, you must follow the care and maintenance advice set out within the Warranty and Care Guide where you will find more details of Crimsafe’s 10-Year Warranty terms and conditions.

12-Year Warranty

Crimsafe Security Systems provides to the original purchaser of the Crimsafe Regular Security Product an option to benefit from an additional 2-year warranty in addition to its current standard 10-year warranty, available on the Regular and Classic ranges.

To be eligible for the 2-Year extended warranty, you must:

• register your purchase online and receive a 2-Year Extended Warranty Certificate as acknowledgment of registration.

• obtain the 2-Year Extended Warranty Certificate within 60 days of the purchase date by the owner (date and owner as noted on your invoice).

• provide accurate information in the online registration process.

• maintain your Crimsafe security product in accordance with the care guide provided to you at the time of purchase.

If you make a claim under this warranty, you must produce the 2-Year Extended Warranty Certificate, and your original WA Security Doors and Windows invoice. Without these, your warranty will be the standard 10-Year Warranty.

15-Year Warranty

Crimsafe Security Systems provides to the original purchaser of the Crimsafe Regular Security Product an option to benefit from an additional 5-year warranty in addition to its current standard 10-year warranty, available on the Ultimate and iQ ranges.

To be eligible for the 5-Year extended warranty, you must:

• register your purchase online and receive a 5-Year Extended Warranty Certificate as acknowledgment of registration.

• obtain the 5-Year Extended Warranty Certificate within 60 days of the purchase date by the owner (date and owner as noted on your invoice).

• provide accurate information in the online registration process.

• maintain your Crimsafe security product in accordance with the care guide provided to you at the time of purchase.

If you make a claim under this warranty, you must produce the 5-Year Extended Warranty Certificate, and your original WA Security Doors and Windows invoice. Without these, your warranty will be the standard 10-Year Warranty.

Extended Warranty

We offer an optional 2-year and 5-year extended warranty on top of our standard 10-year warranty for selected products.

Within 60 days of installation, you can also register to extend your standard 10-year Warranty for all Crimsafe products by completing the Online Registration.

How to make a claim

All claims under this warranty should be made in the first instance to WA Security Doors and Windows who supplied and installed your Crimsafe products.

You will need your original invoice or receipt as proof of purchase.

As your Authorised Crimsafe Dealer, WA Security Doors and Windows may arrange with you to inspect the Crimsafe product/s.

Keep in mind that you will be responsible for any inspection and repair charges in the event you are not eligible to make a claim under this warranty.
